Toyota 4runner Sunroof Wont Open

I bought my current 4runner with a jammed open sunroof i had another parts rig at home and swapped it out.

I have a stuck sunroof in the open position. If you can hear the motor clicking when you push the switch for your sunroof go to step 3. 2004 toyota 4runner parts dealer wants 2k to replace whole assembly. I m a vampire btw.

What really sucks if you open it and can t close it. You could always just disable the sunroof and not open it. It jst wont open at all theres no noise or anything when the button is pressed. In my 4runner i don t use my sunroof in fact i keep the shade closed too.

This is the 3rd time i had tore apart this sunroof and finally fixed it. I have a 99 4runner and the sunroof won t open. First of all if your sunroof is stuck open and you need it closed quickly go to step 1. Ill ceck the fuses and stuff.

It s way to bright outside there is pollution there are bugs and birds there are flying rocks rain drops hail carjackers thieves and solar. When i press the button either way i hear a quick click and then nothing. Could not find any videos or info so i hope this helps. Well you shouldn t have opened it to begin with.
